A Journey Through Tea

A journey across Sri Lanka, Nepal, India and China, in search of the world’s rarest and most exceptional teas.

The house

A house of rare teas

From remote tea gardens to centuries-old traditions, each journey reveals a new origin, a new story, and a new expression of tea.

Adisayam travels to the gardens themselves. We walk the slopes, meet the people who grow and craft the leaf, and taste each tea where it is made. Only the teas that stop us will carry our name.

Four countries, one search

Origins

Sri Lanka

The island of Ceylon tea, where gardens climb from the southern lowlands to the mist of the central highlands. Our journey starts here.

Nepal

Young Himalayan gardens at high altitude, still little known beyond the mountains that shelter them.

India

Darjeeling, Assam, the Nilgiris. Three landscapes, and three very different characters of tea.

China

The birthplace of tea, and of nearly every way of crafting the leaf that the world has since learned.

Origin

A tea that comes from one place, and tastes of it.

Craft

Leaf picked and worked by people who have done it all their lives.

Rarity

Small lots, made in season, that will not come again the same way.
